This final report of the multinational European social science project Adequate Information Management in Europe (AIM) summarizes and evaluates major results of a coherent series of empirical studies and theoretical analyses concerning the structures and the processes of daily reporting about the European Union, and especially about the European Commission. The AIM project was run by a consortium of leading research institutes of eleven European countries involving communication science, sociology, political science, and journalism within a trans-disciplinary framework. The three year project (2004-2007) focused especially on the daily press and television journalism and the type of European communication it encounters. This work is of interest not only for researchers and experts, but for media and communication practice, as well as for everybody involved in or interested in European politics.
